Summer Semester is winding down. I'll be done with my two on campus classes (English and FCHD) next Wednesday, July 18. Woot!! I think I'm going to drop the FCHD track for the Law and Societies Area Certificate in favor of the newly created Criminal Justice track. I'm sad that I won't get to study the upper division FCHD classes, but this should free up credit hours to help me get the classes that are actually required, without spending so much time of pre-reqs.
Just completed an English assignment wherein I prosecuted Hamlet for 5 counts of murder in varying degrees. Another classmate (also a Law and Con major) defended Hamlet with the insanity defense. It was a lot of fun, but I've never spent so much time on one project! I've been working on this for over a month now, and I'm glad it's finally over. The verdict came down unanimously guilty, but with the possibility of diminished responsibility. It was a LOT of fun, and totally worth all the time put in! We both feel very rewarded, and I know Hamlet now a lot better than I ever thought I wanted to! If you want to see an excellent version of Hamlet starring Patrick Stewart and David Tennant, then I have the link for you! Pay especial attention to Oliver Ford Davies who play Polonius, he's SO FUNNY!!

Catherine walked out of the house the other day with two different colored shoes on! She usually wears different colored socks, and it looks as if this trend has bled out onto her shoes! We got a good kick out of it when we realized what had happened! :)
On May Day we put an urban legend to the test! It's said that on May Day, you can stand an egg on a flat surface. It worked!
As a side note, May Day is on May 1st, which in the U.S. is also Law Day!
Things have been going pretty well, we also both now have callings. I teach in Elder's Quorum, and Catherine teaches the nursery, and has a monthly calling on a Relief Society Activities board. We love our ward! We are going to Lagoon tomorrow, Catherine's work is taking us. We're pretty excited!
This is what it looks like when I leave to walk to class every morning. Awesome! |

Sometimes, we all need help dressing ourselves. Sometimes, Catherine more than others. :) |
One is black, the other is brown. |
